Dental health is an important aspect of overall health.  The oral health program offers a range of services for eligible children, youth and adults in our community. Our services include oral health screening in schools, hygiene and treatment services for children and youth, assistance to families who have difficulty paying for dental services, and provision of information about oral health.

Preventive and treatment services are offered at our Community and Mobile Dental Health Centres to eligible individuals and families on government-funded benefit programs, such as Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program, Healthy Smiles Ontario and Non-Insured Health Benefits for First Nations. The Health Unit also manages the claims administration process for dental treatments insured under the Ontario Works Benefit Program.
