Student Nutrition Programs Make a Difference in Peterborough and County

Students arrive at school hungry for many reasons: skipped breakfasts, rushed mornings, long bus rides, and sometimes, not enough food at home.

Students with access to nourishing food at school are better able to concentrate in class, miss less school, and achieve higher academic scores.

Most schools in Peterborough and County offer free food at school. Depending on the school, programs may be a sit-down meal before the bell, bins of food that go into each classroom, or a grab-and-go table in a central location.

ALL students are welcome!
