Workplace Health

“A healthy workplace is a place where individuals and the organization both thrive
and take responsibility for improving their own health,
as well as creating a healthy workplace environment.”

- Canadian Healthy Workplace Council

No manager or business leader can afford to ignore the growing costs – both financial and human – of poor physical and mental health in the workplace. The business case for workplace wellness is a strong one, amplified further by the aging of our population and the pressures of modern society.

The Peterborough County-City Health Unit supports employers in their efforts to address the health of staff (and ultimately the productivity of the workplace) using a comprehensive workplace health model

The Peterborough County-City Health Unit in partnership with other community agencies and businesses have developed a one-stop website for workplace wellness champions.
