Mocktail Recipe for October

Responsible party hosts offer their guests non-alcoholic drink choices to reduce alcohol-related problems. 

"Apple Cranberry Brew"
 

3 1/2 cups
4 cups
1/2 cup
1/3 cup
2 tsp
1 tbsp

unsweetened apple juice
cranberry juice
lemon juice
brown sugar
whole allspice berries
whole cloves
cinnamon sticks

applePut juices and sugar into a sauce pan, stirring to dissolve the sugar.  Place spices in a piece of cheesecloth to make a bundle and tie top closed with string.  Add spice bundle to juices.  Heat to simmering.  Remove spices when brew is spiced to your liking.  Transfer brew to a crock pot for serving.  Serve with a cinnamon stick to garnish.
