Smart Moves...You Can Prevent a Fall

Taking action under these four key areas can help you reduce the risk and to continue to lead an active life:

  1. Plan ahead. Talk to your health care provider and family about osteoporosis and fall prevention.
  2. Be active. Exercise every day to keep your muscles and bones in good condition.
  3. Look first. Be aware of your surroundings and hazards that might cause a fall both indoors and outdoors.
  4. Think wisely. When taking medications, manage fall risks.
