Turkey Gyros in a Pita

Ingredients

1 lb. ground turkey (or extra lean ground beef)
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 c. water
2-4 whole wheat pitas
1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
1/2 tsp. ground coriander
1/4 tsp. ground allspice

Yogurt Sauce:
1/4 c. peeled and grated cucumber
1/2 tsp. fresh mint (chopped)

Toppings:
Chopped tomatoes, lettuce, onion, black olives and feta cheese (as desired)
1/2 c. low fat plain yogurt
1 tbsp. green onion (chopped)
Salt and pepper to taste

In large skillet on medium-high heat, using oil, brown turkey for 5-7 minutes.  Add spices and mix, cooking for 2 minutes.  Add water and cook for 5 minutes or until water has mostly evaporated.  Place in pitas with your favourite toppings and yogurt sauce.
