Ingredients
1 lb. medium ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. chili powder
1 1/4 cup canned tomatoes, mashed
10 taco shells
Suggested Toppings:
cheddar cheese, grated
salsa
plain yogurt
shredded lettuce
1) Put cheese, salsa, plain yogurt and lettuce in separate containers in the refrigerator while preparing the meat.
2) In a large frying pan, brown the meat with the onion, garlic and green pepper. Drain off the extra fat.
3) Stir in the cumin, chili powder and mashed tomatoes and cook for 5 more minutes.
4) Put the meat mixture in a bowl. Serve with the taco shells and toppings in separate containers and let everyone make their own taco.
