Family Violence Prevention
Abuse and violence that takes place within families is a significant public health concern.  It can take the form of physical, emotional, financial or sexual abuse, or neglect.

The Family Violence Prevention program provides information and resources on the nature, extent and impact of family violence and works with other community agencies to develop local education and prevention programs.  We also provide referrals to a wide variety of community crisis support and counselling services.
