Genetics and Cancer
If you or someone in your family have cancer, a Genetic Counsellor can let you know:
- how a family history of cancer can affect you and your family members;
- about cancer screening that may be recommended for you because of your family history; and
- if testing is available to see if you, or your family, are at a greater risk for cancer than the rest of the population.
