How To Find A Dental Care Provider
The Peterborough area is fortunate to have many community dental care professionals. Some dental practices may offer appointments evenings and Saturdays, or at-home dental services.

The Peterborough County-City Health Unit offers dental screening clinics at no cost to determine if clients are eligible for financial assistance through the Children in Need of Treatment (CINOT) and Healthy Smiles Ontario (HSO) programs. If a parent/guardian or youth 17 years of age and under suspects a dental problem they can call the Health Unit to book an appointment, 705-743-1000 and ask for Dental Services.
The Health Unit also offers preventive dental services for eligible children and youth e.g. polishing, scaling, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants, and oral hygiene instruction.
